Rogers to Retail Nokia X7 for $299.99 Off-Contract
Although the phone has yet to show up on the carrier’s website, Rogers has announced that customers can order the Nokia X7 starting today.
The phone is now available at all Rogers stores and can be purchased for as low as $29.99 with a new three-year agreement.
However, the Canadian carrier offers three more price options for customers who wish to acquire the Symbian smartphone: $79.99 with a two-year contract, $149.99 with a one-year agreement or $299.99 without any plan.
Nokia X7 was rumored to be released by Rogers since last month, but only recently was the phone confirmed by the carrier.
The handset is one of the first to feature Nokia’s Symbian Anna operating system, along with the E6 model.
The smartphone comes with an AMOLED 4-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports 16 million colors and 360 x 640 pixels resolution, which is protected by Gorilla glass display.
Equipped with a 680 MHz ARM 11 processor, complemented by a Broadcom BCM2727 graphics processing unit, the X7 is not among the most powerful smartphones announced by Nokia.
Nokia X7 packs a standard amount of memory: 256 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB card included).
The device boasts a superior 8-megapixel camera with fixed-focus, dual-LED flash, face detection and video recording capabilities (720p@25fps).
When it comes to connectivity, Nokia X7 is an all-rounder and offers users a wide array of options such as: HSDPA (10.2Mbps) and HSUPA (2.0Mbps) support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3.0 with A2DP connectivity, microUSB with on-the-go support and GPS with A-GPS support.
The X7 comes bundled with Ovi Maps, as well as several exciting games, including Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD.
As soon as the phone will be included within the carrier’s webstore, customers will be able to order it from the newly created Smartphone Lite category.
